Capella

Project Capella is a new research laboratory building for the University of Cambridge. This new 18,000m2 biomedical research building is located adjacent to the existing CRUK building in Cambridgeshire's flagship biomedical campus. It is intended to bring together the large number of medical research groups currently scattered across the city and to establish a new Centre of Excellence for research that will pride a foundation for the development of new medical treatments.

CPS completed all the mechanical pipework services within this building including all the heating, chilled, domestics, drainage and steam. Pre-fabrication was key to the success of this project. All heating and chilled pipework was prefabricated within the boiler room and chiller pump room. CPS also utilized the manufacture of prefabricated modules.
