Building 300 – Cambridge Science Park

CPS Building Services delivered the full M&E package for the refurbishment and WC core reconfiguration of Unit 300, an 18,000 sq ft office space at Cambridge Science Park. The project formed part of a wider energy efficiency strategy to modernise ageing building stock.
The scheme transformed outdated space into a modern, energy-efficient environment, with a refurbished reception, reconfigured WC cores, and updated welfare areas to suit contemporary occupier needs.
CPS carried out a full M&E strip-out and installation, including new hybrid VRF systems, AHUs with heat recovery, LED lighting with DALI control, upgraded power distribution, domestic water services, Trend IQ BMS, fire alarm, access control, and EV charging infrastructure.
Delivered within a 20-week programme and a partially occupied building, the project required careful phasing, coordination of crane lifts, and management of live services to avoid disruption.
Completed on schedule, the works provided a high-quality, low-energy workspace aligned with the client’s sustainability and lettable space objectives.
