The STEM Centre is a Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths Centre built for the University of Essex. The £13.2M teaching centre includes a versatile 180-seat wet lab for Biological Sciences and a 200-seat IT exploratory learning space for the students.
CPS completed all the mechanical pipework services within this building including all the heating, chilled and domestics. All heating pipework was prefabricated within the boiler room as was the chilled pipework on the roof.
CPS used its extensive knowledge from previous biomedical projects when working on laboratory drainage and fume cupboards.
