The award of the second data hall mechanical services works to CPS followed the successful completion of the first phase of works for the same client. It was CPS’ proactive attitude and helpful nature that helped secure the second phase of the works at this site. It was also widely acknowledged that CPS understood the client’s deliverables and the importance of delivering a robust product at the end of the works.
The mechanical services works consisted of the installation of 6no additional indirect evaporative cooling (IEC) units free issued by the client, with scope for future growth when inevitably the existing facility will not be able to cope with increased demand on the system. Data centre requirements in the region are at an all time high in terms of demand with more and more clients moving to cloud-based systems for their data management.
Once more the complete reverse osmosis (RO) water system has been installed in ABS pipework owing to the nature of the space that the pipework is being run through. As the facility has now increased CPS undertook additional installations on the site for hot/cold water together with additional sanitaryware and public health installations to serve the users of the
CPS carried out the complete mechanical package on this phase of the project and looks forward to working again on more future developments around the site.
