Lyo Lab
CPS was appointed by SDC Builders for our 6th M&E Project with the Illumina facility at Granta Park, Cambridge.
The Lyo laboratory is an RH-controlled environment maintaining the humidity in the space to 25% + / - 5% which is required for specialist testing and experiments which are ongoing in the space.
Chilled water services were connected into from the existing site-wide system providing initial dehum to the air from the existing AHU’s on the site. This serves the cooling coil on the primary side of the Condair dehum unit. There is also a secondary cooling coil on the secondary side of the ductwork if additional dehum is needed from the Condair unit.
The system is powered from the existing electrical supply network with connections made out of hours and coordinated with the other areas which are fed from the distribution board which serves the dehum equipment.
All of the equipment installed is integrated into the BMS system on site and the main head-end graphics were updated to reflect the new installation.
The dehum unit serves a network of ductwork into the lab and provides reduced humidity air to the Lyo Lab.
