Historic Buildings
Many of the buildings CPS work in are of immense historic importance to those who look after them. Whilst M&E installations can be undertaken in any environment there is something special about working in a building for St Johns College, or the Cambridge University library. The history that these buildings are steeped in is immense which makes working in them all the more delicate.
The backbone of CPS’ founding in 1995 originated working in historic buildings for the University of Cambridge and this is a relationship stronger than ever almost 30 years later. Working in these buildings has significant challenges and logistical issues which CPS use our ingenuity and alternative methods of installation such as prefabrication or cloud point survey to allow accurate bespoke design off-site ensuring all restrictions on site are picked up in the design. This allows a seamless installation on site as all factors are accounted for.
CPS is trusted with both installation and maintenance applications within these buildings and our clients putting their trust in us for this work speaks volumes for CPS and the diligence in where we work.
